Funding agencies and partnerships

First and foremost, it is important to highlight the support we have received from state agencies (such as FAPES and SECT) and federal agencies (like CAPES, CNPq, FINEP, MEC, and MCTI), as well as from companies (including Petrobras, VALE, ARCELOR, and TECNIP).

PROAP/CAPES:
The program annually receives funding from PROAP, which is primarily used for travel expenses and per diems for committees and national conferences.

Pró-Equipamentos/CAPES:
The program has regularly benefited from resources from Pró-Equipamentos/CAPES. In the last three years, the Rheology Laboratory has been awarded funding for the purchase of a rheometer and other complementary equipment.

CT-INFRA/FINEP:
The program has also received funding from CT-INFRA. In recent years, the program acquired a SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) through this funding.

CNPq:
Several faculty members in the program are researchers with CNPq (60%) and, therefore, receive research grants. The universal grant has also benefited some faculty members in the program.

FAPES (Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Espírito Santo):
The program regularly receives master's and doctoral scholarships from FAPES, in addition to funding for specific projects conducted by faculty members.

PETROBRAS:
PETROBRAS has been one of the main funding companies for PPGEM/UFES. Currently, there are three major projects funded by the company related to drag reduction, characterization of paraffinic oils with gas hydrate presence, and flow measurement.

ARCELOR MITAL:
The program currently has two projects funded by the ARCELOR research center and one under discussion. These projects focus on computing/modeling and drag reduction.

TEVISA:
The program currently has one project with TEVISA for the development of a monitoring and performance diagnostic system for thermoelectric power plants.
